FAQs

Question

What are your COVID protocols?

Answer

For the safety of our family and yours, we are requiring our guests to get negative COVID tests, dated within a week of the event (6/18-6/25). Please send confirmation of a negative test result by 6/25 to almahuremovic14@gmail.com for each guest attending. At home, rapid, and PCR tests will be accepted. Children under five are not required to be tested. If you have questions about where or how to get a test, please contact us at almahuremovic14@gmail.com.

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes! The parking is right beside the Tunxis Pavilion at 87 Town Farm Road Farmington, CT 06032. There will be signs to lead you up the path to the ceremony space. It’s very accessible and no more than a minute’s walk from the parking area.

Question

Is this a family friendly event? What do I do with my children?

Answer

Although we love your kids, this will be an adult only event.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we can only accommodate guests named on your invitation. Please make sure to confirm names and food preference of all attending when you RSVP (see above question regarding children).

Question

What do I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed! Please indicate this on your RSVP as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. If it is after June 1, please email us at almahuremovic14@gmail.com.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is formal. So please wear something dressy up to help us celebrate in style. We recommend suits with jackets, formal or cocktail dresses, or a variation on those options (jumpsuits anyone?). We kindly request you don’t wear white or a similar color to the event. Note the event will be outside in a shaded area from 5 p.m. - 11 p.m. We’ll be in a paved pavilion so wear your stilettos and don’t fear the dreaded grass sink. The pavilion has screens to protect guests from the rain, if needed. However if you’re likely to get cold at night, we suggest you bring a jacket or scarf to cover up! As we’re getting married in June, it has the potential to be hot the day of the event, so plan accordingly.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony starts promptly at 5:30 p.m. EST. We recommend you arrive by 5 p.m. to give you time to park and get situated for the event.

Question

Can I bring a gift to the wedding?

Answer

Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift, there will be a table and card box to the left of the entrance for your convenience. To visit our registry, click here https://www.zola.com/wedding/ethanandalma/registry. We appreciate any contributions to our life as newlyweds.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

During the ceremony, please keep your phones and cameras off. We have professionals to get those shots, and don’t want them to be interrupted. After the ceremony, please take as many pictures as you’d like! Tag us and use the hashtag #KeepingUpWithTheKibbes if you post them on social media.

Question

What if I have a food allergy?

Answer

There will be a space on the RSVP card to list food allergies. If you’d like to confirm, contact Alma at almahuremovic14@gmail.com.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be at the Tunxis Pavilion. After the ceremony we’ll have a cocktail hour, then move into the dinner and dancing. A schedule will be posted here https://www.zola.com/wedding/ethanandalma/event.

Question

Can I take the centerpiece home as a souvenir?

Answer

Our venue provided the majority of the centerpieces, so please don’t take them with you. We’d love for you to take some flowers home, but please ask a member of the bridal party to confirm which flowers at the end of the night.

Question

What will my child eat?

Answer

If you do choose to bring your children, all kids under 12 years of age will automatically get chicken tenders for dinner.
