Ethan proposed to Julia at the Zilker Botanical Gardens. He didn’t so much say “Will you marry me?” as “So will you?” and she didn’t so much say “Yes” as “Well, yeah!,” but the sentiment remains. Curious about the commotion, a little girl walked confidently toward them. She looked at the ring on Julia’s hand and asked, “You were friends and now you’re getting married?” “Yep, that’s pretty much it,” they replied. That little girl knew what was up.
Julia and Ethan first became besties in 2014 in the coolest way possible – drinking cheap beer and eating bad pizza with their co-ed engineering fraternity. They’re best known for high-fiving over trivial accomplishments and riffing endlessly on bad jokes. They travel, watch too much TV, hike, accidentally strand themselves in the middle of East Texas – the usual. They are almost always accompanied by their dog Nancy (AKA Pants, Bean, Dumb Baby) and are almost always singing dumb songs to/ at her. Even after being stuck indoors together for the past fever dream of a year, they want to keep it up forever. So, after 6 years together + 1 year of pandemic delays, let’s party!
