If you have time I would definitely take a drive up to Big Sky!!! It's beautiful! Yellowstone can be done in a long day drive as well! It will take you about 2 hours from the cabin to the park entrance. You don't have to go into the park itself (that's a whole day to make a few loops). The town of Yellowstone has a Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center along with small shops and restaurants. One of our favorite restaurants is the 
Firehole Bar B Que Company.

There is a great HIKING TRAIL by the main river (near the cabin gate) that I believe will take you to a waterfall and a small lake. Up the canyon on the main road there are a lot of other trails as well, storm castle, rat lake and many others.
