In addition to seeing 18th and 19th Century buildings, a few other interesting historic benchmarks to look for on the tour include: Court House Documents signed by Thomas Jefferson and other famous Virginia Patriots. Beautiful wrought iron fences, balconies and gates. Flagstone walks from early 19th century Horse-mounting stile in front of Presbyterian Church. Hand water pumps at old cisterns and wells. Early gravestones in church cemeteries with oldest dating 1795. Handsome cupolas on courthouse and churches.
