Our NY love story is unique (& a little long). Have you ever "known" someone for a long time, without knowing them...that was us! Believe it or not, Patrick and I met at a Staten Island Church (that I attended for only one month), when we were 11/12 years old... Fast forward to our college years, UA-UKNOW, we ran into each other and instantly recognized each other. We would say hello whenever we crossed paths. Fast forward a few more years, we attended a mutual friend's deployment party, played catch up and danced merengue. The next day, Patrick asked me to go for drinks but at the time, I only wanted to go for coffee and catch up as friends. Meanwhile, after great conversations we ultimately decided to also see Spiderman into the Spider-verse. One month later, we finally met up and had a great time. Conversing about family, travel, passions, etc, the hours flew by. Patrick will tell you this was our first date, but I will never agree. Why? The kindest man I have ever met, unexpectedly swept me off my feet. By the end of the night, I wanted to go on a real date with Pat. So the following week, we saw another Marvel movie & he endured a vegan restaurant for me…and as they say…when you know you know. After that, we were inseparable and made it official on a month later. We spent 4.5 amazing years filled with love, laughter, and lots of travel. On September 30, 2023, Patrick proposed in Central Park and it's one of our favorite places now. Now we get to embark on our life journey with our loved ones.
