The Science Center is such a fun place for kids and is connected to great trails within Watchung Reservation where we had our first date.

American Museum of Natural History
Such a cool museum (especially if you've seen Night at the Museum) and a great place to take kids!
Central Park
Central Park has so many attractions, from the zoo, carousel, bike tours, theater, memorials, etc. Check out what's happening while you're in town! Or just take a stroll and see what you can find :)
Monmouth Beach
Sarah's favorite beach because of it's peaceful atmosphere (although in May, all the beaches are a little more vacant)
