Our story began in the hallways of Providence Senior High School when we were just ninth graders. What started as an innocent friendship soon turned into something much more special. Our first date was at the local movie theater, where Kyle spent more time nervously debating what "move to make" rather than actually watching the film. From that night on, we were inseparable—attending school dances together, cheering each other on at games, and navigating our teenage years alongside one another. When it came time for college, we knew we didn’t want to take on the next chapter of life without each other. So, we chose the same university (Coastal Carolina) and tackled the ups and downs of college side by side. We were our own little home away from home together. We both had the same vision for life, experience it. We decided to get part-time jobs while being full-time students and also joining Greek life to make new friends and build upon connections we had made. From road trips to football games, the years we've spent together only strengthened the love we had built since we were teenagers. Following graduation in May 2023, we both moved back to Charlotte, NC to begin our respective careers. Then, in August of 2024, after nearly nine years together, Kyle decided it was time to take the next step. On a beautiful summer evening at a local park, he got down on one knee and popped the question. The celebrations didn’t stop there as Mr. and Mrs. Estridge planned with Kyle months in advance to host a wonderful engagement party. The plan was to have a big surprise party with all our friends and family, and it was a massive success. Everyone cheered and reminisced about our journey. Our story, which began as wide-eyed high school sweethearts, had now turned into a lifelong adventure—one filled with love, laughter, and just the right amount of teasing to keep things interesting.
