We met on a Monday night at a bar in Brooklyn called Endswell. Both of us showed up in matching leather jackets at 6:30p and we enjoyed each other's company so much that we looked up and it was 10:30p! As we walked home, it became apparent we lived close but shortly realized we lived across the street from each other in high rise buildings facing each other and both resided on the 26th floor!

It was a chilly January night and Lanaia has just recovered from Covid so Alberto suggested we go out to dinner. We drove to a restaurant called Stone House, about 25 min away from our house and was a recommendation from Alberto's colleague. Everything was seemingly normal, after our entrees we were waiting for the dessert menu to come and Lanaia looked up, and the server placed a chocolate cake in front of her that read "Will You Marry Me"! Alberto was taken aback because they were supposed to bring the menu to prep him to get ready to pop the question however once the dessert was placed, he said "Oh so this is happening now" and got down on one knee and proposed. It was truly wonderful so needless to say, like the name of the bar, our story ends well and looking forward to seeing you all next year in Punta Cana to celebrate our love!
