I always laughed at the clichés of guys finding the single bridesmaids at a wedding or the whole trying to "go to a wedding without a date, because you may leave with one!" Well, May of 2016 I even remember sitting at a wedding watching everyone else confident enough to get up and dance, laughing as a friend asked me which of the bridesmaids were single, and I asked him, "do you really think you're going to find love at a wedding?".... Fast forward to today and I'm less than two months away from marrying one of the many strangers who was on that exact dance floor at that exact wedding... Funny how these things work isn't it? While that friend of mine watched the brides maids my eyes were glued to a group of Filipino brothers out dancing everyone in the room and having the time of their lives. I didn't approach him that day, nothing magical happened, I took my mandatory wedding selfie and I went home. Yet four months later his face pops up on my phone screen.... So, of course I say hello (now to preface at this point in my life I had made big changes physically, spiritually, and all together so I told myself no relationships and no boys!.... but I said hello none the less) We talked about the wedding and how I had pointed out how obviously he was a twin. He asked if we could text.. and so we did, we began to talk about one of our favorite people in the Bible (Job) and our struggles vs our faith. We talked about our Jobs, and the importance of serving, needless to say he was pretty awesome, but I was still fighting relationships, so me and God were talking. I agreed to let Tino take me out about two weeks later and I think after that night it was confirmed, THIS was my guy and I needed to give up my fight, so I did, he shakily and very shyly talked to me about what his feelings were at that point, and I told him mine, it was scary, insane, and amazing all at once. That's the most important part, what lead us to where we are now, and we are so thankful and blessed.
