Our story began in August 2023 during a Youth Sunday at Destiny Hill Church. It was during the games session that Roy, with great determination, tried to convince Kina to join his team. She, however, wasn’t interested at all. Later, she couldn’t help but laugh at his name, "Gikonyo"—and that’s how it all started. Fast forward to October 2024, when we officially started dating, and the rest is history.
We got engaged on December 15th, 2024—a day filled with joy and love. I told Kina we were heading to a formal Christmas party but made a quick stop at my house to "grab a bow tie." When I called her inside to help me choose, she walked in to find me standing there with both our families, surrounded by love. Her smile lit up the room as I got down on one knee, creating a moment we’ll cherish forever.
