Everything began on October 15, 2024, when we both looked down at our phones and saw the same Bumble notification: “You have a match!” Online dating might not have the best reputation, but right away, something felt different. Our conversations went beyond small talks and quickly dove into meaningful topics: our families, our goals, our faith, our dreams, our believes and the kind of people we are at heart. About a week later, Esther traveled to Ypsilanti, Michigan for a job interview — and unexpectedly found herself stranded. The only Uber she could get would take her as far as Lansing, still miles away from home in Grand Rapids. That’s when Levi saw an opportunity to show he truly cared. Even though he was at a family dinner and couldn’t leave, Levi called on his good friend Pablo, who didn’t hesitate to step in and help. Pablo became the unexpected hero of our story — driving out to Lansing to make sure Esther got home safely. Looking back, that moment meant more than we realized.
