Hood River, a mountain town located 1.5 hours outside of Portland along the Columbia River Gorge, is one of our favorite places in Oregon. The drive is easy and has beautiful views along the way. There are many wineries along the Columbia River Gorge between Portland and Hood River, and Multnomah Falls is a quick detour on the way. Hood River has great food, drinks, and shopping, and is in close proximity to many hikes.
