Majestic Elegance Resort in Cancun Mexico
We would prefer you arrive on Friday at the latest to ensure you can attend the ceremony and spend some time with us before the wedding. We will have a guest welcome event on Thursday, April 10th, if you can arrive by then to attend.
Please send your flight details as soon as possible to the travel coordinator and confirm the transfer with her.
Please reach out to our travel coordinator for information regarding day passes.
The dress code for the guest welcome event is cocktail/semi-formal - please wear all black since the theme is "Till Death Do Us Party!" The dress code for our wedding is cocktail/semi-formal. Wear something you’re comfortable in—button-up shirts, long, flowy dresses, or whatever brings you joy. Since our ceremony will take place at the piano bar terrace, we recommend wearing shoes that are stairs-friendly. Keep in mind the ceremony will be on the beach so plan for sand! The wedding party and immediate family will be in shades of blue and the bride in white so do your best to avoid those colors.
Of course, we can’t guarantee anything, but typically, April in Cancun is low 80-degree weather with lots of sun. Keep an eye on the weather in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and have your sunscreen ready.
The guest welcome event will be inside the ballroom, while the ceremony and reception will be outdoors. If it rains, we will be moved indoors.
After the ceremony, the immediate family of the couple will be taking pictures on the beach and around the resort for around an hour. Guests can attend cocktail hour, during which snacks and drinks will be flowing. Dinner will be served an hour or so after the ceremony, with dancing to follow.
We want to ensure you enjoy your time and meal on our wedding day. Please message Olympia, our travel coordinator, about your dietary needs so she can coordinate with the resort by February 28th.
Yes! You can bring cash to tip if you feel inclined. USD is accepted in Mexico.
The greatest gift is having you travel with us. Please do not feel inclined to give us a gift as we are fortunate to have a home with everything we need.
We love photos! We ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, we’d like that time to be unplugged. For the rest of the wedding, we encourage guests to post pictures using our wedding hashtag #LivinLaVidaMason so we can see them, too!
