In the spring of 2017, Esther was a busy resident advisor and pre-med student desperate for a break. Chandler was finishing his first year of college and a member of the Sigma Pi Fraternity. Esther's friend Angelo, also in Sigma Pi, invited her to take some time off at the beach on their fraternity spring formal. He set her up as Chandler's blind date for the trip, and she agreed to go along. A mix up of cars led to Esther meeting Chandler for the first time by riding with him for the entire 13 hour trip to Myrtle Beach. She was so shocked by how much she and Chandler had in common, so she asked Angelo if he had prepped Chandler on how to impress her (he hadn't!). What started as a reluctant travel companionship to spend the weekend at a far away beach, turned into the beginning of something beautiful. For three days, they spent every minute walking up and down the beach talking about their love for space and their dreams for a life full of adventure. They've been together ever since. Their six year relationship has included seven internships, 6 cross-country moves, 5 degrees (with a soon-to-be sixth!), four time zones, 3.5 years of long distance, a pandemic, one dog, and about a million trips to the airport. They can't wait to start forever together, and are so excited for you to join them on their special day.
