Our story began at a Thursday night Bible study! Brian finally gathered enough courage to introduce himself and say hello, and it was love at first sight!

Where was your first date?

Our first date was at Van Gogh's Ear Cafe, a beautiful artsy cafe with delicious coffee. The very first present Brian ever gave Esther was a box filled with wildflowers that he picked himself!

Where did you get engaged?

Answer

We got engaged in May 2025 at the New York Botanical Garden during the Van Gogh flower display. Rows and rows of vibrant, beautiful flowers surrounded us! We walked through the garden and found a beautiful rose hedge tucked away from the crowd, where we each painted with watercolors. Suddenly, Brian knew it was the perfect moment to pop the question. Just then, the clouds parted and a bright ray of sunlight shined on us, and even though Esther cried for what seemed like forever, she said yes!
