We met.... on a canoe trip in the Adirondacks. We met.... at a gun range. We met.... while on a walk in Boston. Those are all stories we've jokingly (or maybe not jokingly) told, but none are true. We met in person on the morning of July 8th, 2017, but we'd met on Tinder a little over a week earlier when Adam, newly returned from Scotland, got on Tinder in Lincoln, MA, and Esther decided to give it one more go. Adam's opening line was, "What's more home, Boston or Vermont?" And since he wasn't commenting on her appearance, Esther decided she liked him. We chatted online for a day or two, but then Esther left for a weekend camping trip. She gave Adam her number and told him to text her on Monday. He did, and that text led to a call, and that call led to a brunch date on July 8th. Adam had just left for a job in the Adirondacks but came back to Boston just to go on a date with Esther. Neither one of us wanted to date other people after that. After one year and five months of dating long distance, countless phone calls, FaceTimes, and text conversations, we’re still so thrilled to be living near each other. Please join us as we celebrate our love and commitment on Sunday, September 15th, 2019.
