How We Met

April 20

On Easter service Leo was playing bass and I was attending one of the services. While Leo was walking up to the stage I gave a small smile that I thought he didn’t see. He says my smile was so small that he wasn’t sure if I smiled at him. After worship he smiled at me on his way out but I didn’t look at him because I was too shy. After the service ended, I was rushing on my way home since we had guest coming over and I saw Leo in the lobby trying to say Hi to me and I just gave him a little head nod and continued walking out of the building. I was too shy to stop and chat. The next day Leo reached out on Facebook and asked me on a date. We planned one for after work that Thursday and have been together ever since. Never thought getting to know each other that day would lead to a life time together. Just a sense of peace that we were right for each other.

Proposal

October 1

Let’s just say this was a total surprise for me and it was the perfect intimate setting. I came over to his place to spend time with him and his mom who was visiting from Honduras. He suggested that we go on a walk at discovery park after work and then go to dinner. I was still working a little bit after I arrived and it was supposed to rain later in the evening, so I thought it was weird that he kept asking me when I would be finished with work. Little did I know he just didn’t want to get stuck in the rain when he proposed. Eventually all of us including my 2 dogs went to the park for a walk. There came a moment where his mom asked to take a photo which was not out of the ordinary, so we found a nice spot with a nice view. Right after the photo was taken Leo got down on one knee and propose. We both got it all wrong it was hilarious! He said “ I want you to marry me.” And I said “Are you serious?” all while sticking my hand out and putting the ring on. It was perfect! Afterwards we went to eat dinner at a restaurant and then I told all my family and close friends.

Wedding Day

November 14

How time few by! Just 6 weeks after our engagement we decided to get married with our families there to celebrate our union. We had fun with the photographer who captured our special day and then we went to eat at Fogo de Chão with our loved ones. We definitely left room for dessert with a delicious crepe cake from Lady M, one of our favorite dessert places. So… on November 14 we were excited to start our own family as husband and wife. God is so good and has blessed every step of the way.
