We're getting married!

Janard and I met at Rock City Church in Birmingham, Alabama in 2017. We sat near each other amongst the congregation and after speaking briefly, we realized between his studies at Troy University and mine at Samford University, we shared several mutual friends. We kept in contact for years celebrating each other’s graduate degrees, my medical school acceptance, and Janard’s career moves. My education allowed me the opportunity to study abroad in Barbados for two years. During that time, Janard and I talked daily and grew closer. Once I returned to the U.S., Janard asked me to be his girlfriend! We continued dating long-distance and on February 14th, 2025 he proposed in Washington, D.C.! We are excited to marry this fall and to create a life together…in the same city for once! Christ has been the cornerstone of our relationship, and we are encouraged to keep Him at the core of our union. We recognize that each of you is a tremendous part of our individual journeys, so we look forward to creating memories together as a combined family.
