We're getting married!

Israel pov: Israel and Janina are a part of the same world, a world of music, church events and the most important, a Jesus centered life. We went to some events together, frequent places yet we never had the privilege to meet or cross paths. I’ve known Janina’s sister (Evelyn) as we were friends since we went to the same church yet I never knew that she had a sister. One day I was on social media scrolling (so I could find people to pray for haha) and stumbled upon Evelyn’s IG page and that’s where (drumroll……) for the first time I saw, who for me was the most beautiful girl I had seen, who was on a sister's trip in Boston. After I saw her I got excited but then sad because I believed Janina was living there so I left it like that but later found out that it was her other sister who was living in Boston. Everything started on July 16th, a warm summer Friday night after church. It was another friday and I was talking to Josue (Janinas brother-in-law) about worship and about the set up we wanted for the church when out of nowhere I saw her, walking closer and closer there she was at church walking towards me. I thought she was coming to talk to me but nope she just needed the car keys so i had to play it cool. After we decided to go eat at a friend's house(Pichos), it was then when I first met Janina. What more could I have asked for, Mexican food, friends and the girl I liked. The night was ending and I was ready to ask her for her number or IG but I blamed the food. I chickened out sadly and after that day I didn't hear anything from her nor knew anything about her. In the following weeks I continued life, went to work, Theology College and kept focus on church but in the back of my head i regretted not having the courage to speak up. One day God heard my prayers because I got a notification that made my heart skip a beat. She sent me a friend request. Thank you Mark Zuckerberg, you are my wingman. Janina pov: When you truly put God at the forefront of your life, God will bless you by sending you exactly what you need, nothing less and nothing more. My God did exactly that when I had least expected it. After many, many and many years(12 years to be exact) of waiting patiently on God, he had a special plan for little ol Janina. It was July 16th, 2021, Andrea (Evelyn) and Josue invited me to an event at their church and I almost did not attend. Regardless of how tired I was from a long week, I still got up, got ready and headed out the door. BEST DECISION I could have made (after accepting Christ into my life of course). Little did I know, the life that I once knew was about to change for the better and I would be meeting the love of my life, my sweet beloved. After church ended my sisters and I debated on what we wanted to eat and we all agreed on tacos. Little did I know that I would be exchanging words and eating tacos with the guy who would take my breath away. We made our way to a mutual friend's house for tacos and as we began to eat my brother in law introduced us.I introduced myself, shook his hand and the night ended. I was so curious and very intrigued to hear and learn more about Israel but that never happened that night :( I went home that night very curious to know who Izzy was and waited. Janina being the friendly girl that she is…I added him on facebook. Despite not really knowing him or having had a real conversation in person I knew I was going to be the one to take my shot. And that is where our sweet love story began. Israel and Janina both had similar prayers during their waiting season. Both had trusted God as the author of their lives and special love story. As they continued to court each other Israel knew God had brought her into his life with a purpose. March 16, 2024 Israel asked the big question and Janina said Yes!
