Where do we begin? It’s crazy to learn that you’ve been running in circles around the love of your life, and the moment you finally run into each other, everything is different. That moment for us, where we finally ran into one another, was our orientation day for our foreign language class in Italian. We didn’t really talk much that day, but as the weeks went by, we began to have frequent conversations and enjoyed one another’s presence. Not only did we have the same interest in expanding our ministry and learning a new language but we quickly found that we had a mutual love for jeeps, live music, and pushing one another’s buttons. ;) Those moments were quickly interrupted though as soon our meetings, ministry, and Italian class were put on hold and later on made virtually. So how would this impact the small yet meaningful moments we’d have in person? Well, after Elijah sent me a message on Instagram (which is a miracle that I responded) a conversation was sparked and we have not stopped talking since that day. As our friendship grew, so did our love for one another! And after a year and eight months of dating, Elijah proposed in New York City on the Brooklyn Bridge. It was the most perfect day and we couldn’t ask for a better story to tell.
