Esteban and Julia are a success story of online dating! They first matched when Esteban was recovering from a debilitating on-the-job back injury. Because of this, the conversation never manifested to an in-person meeting since Esteban couldn't sit upright for more than a few minutes at a time, and things eventually fizzled out. Fast forward a couple months later and they re-matched! Esteban used a super-like to make sure he got Julia's attention again. Once they met in person, they have been inseparable ever since.

Julia has an extreme passion for all things Lighthouse. As a young girl and woman, Julia and her parents regularly vacationed at Long Beach, Washington which is home to the North Head Lighthouse. This Lighthouse quickly became Julia's all time favorite Lighthouse. For Valentines Day weekend 2020, Julia wanted to share the magic of this Lighthouse and Long Beach with Esteban, who had never been before. Julia and Esteban visited the Lighthouse together and it was raining sideways! The weather was straight out of a shipwreck movie where you'd expect to see a Lighthouse saving the day. Julia wanted to get just one picture and then go back to the car since the weather was so terrible, but Esteban had other plans. He went down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage, all while being caught on camera by the professional photographer he had hired.
