Like any great love tale, Paapee and Serwa have different versions of the “How we met” story. Fun fact is both versions have one thing in common. They feature a conversation surrounding Explosion of Joy, an annual concert organized by Joyful Way Incorporated (JWI) where Paapee and Serwa both serve as members of the Prayer and Counselling wing. Theirs was far from a love at first sight as they stayed casual friends for many years after they first met. As God will have it, over time their conversations became more frequent and one day Paapee decided to shoot his shot to which Serwa responded…. drum roll please… “let’s stay friends for now and ask me again in a year’s time”. Can you believe it?! Well, in a year’s time their friendship had unfortunately turned sour but a JWI event came to the rescue again, when they reconnected during Joyful Way’s annual camp the following year. A few months later, Serwa finally accepted Paapee’s proposal and the rest they say is history :)
