It was November 2020 and COVID was in full force. Amanda had just made the leap to return to Colorado, leaving behind the bustling streets of NYC. Aaron had just settled into Colorado with his 6 month old puppy Jesse after his own move from Minnesota the year before. Thanks to modern dating technology (aka a dating app), our paths first crossed online. 

At the time Amanda was staying at her parents' house and being extra cautious due to COVID, so our first date was a virtual one! Since Aaron doesn't have an iPhone, we connected over Whatsapp Video instead of Facetime. We hit it off right away, and three hours later we were already making plans to meet in person. From there, the past four years have been a whirlwind of adventures: ski trips, backpacking escapades, Steeler's football games, smoked bbq feasts, long walks with Jesse, and eventually the big step of moving in together. On August 23rd 2024, Aaron surprised Amanda on a rafting / camping trip and proposed on top of a hill with gorgeous views of the Colorado River. Their good friends Jared and Cherise helped pull off the surprise, including a luxurious surf and turf meal afterwards. It couldn’t have gone better! We feel extremely grateful to have found each other and can't wait to embark on this next chapter. Thank you for being a part of that journey!
