Both students at Calvary Baptist Day School in Winston-Salem, Laura and Jeremy met in fifth grade. Their classroom friendship led to childhood romance and they began officially dating in 2008. They dated throughout high school and college, despite the nine hour distance between Raleigh, North Carolina and Nashville, Tennessee. After graduation in 2015, Jeremy began law school at the University of North Carolina School of Law as Laura entered the workforce. During this time, they experienced more distance as Jeremy received internship opportunities taking him as far as Seattle and New York City. May 2018 was a month of great celebration as Jeremy graduated from law school and secured a position in Durham, North Carolina. Later that summer, Laura and Jeremy moved in together at the halfway point between their places of work, Greensboro, North Carolina. The following summer, in the same place where Jeremy asked Laura to be his girlfriend eleven years prior, he asked her to marry him. In 2020, everything, including wedding planning, came to a standstill. Laura and Jeremy made the difficult decision to postpone their wedding celebration but get married on their original date, surrounded their immediate family members. Growing up together has been the biggest blessing and both Laura and Jeremy can't wait to embrace the new memories, laughs, and joys that growing old together will bring. They can't wait to reconvene with their family and friends in October to finally CELEBRATE!
