We’re Getting Married!

On the anniversary of when we started dating officially, we had decided to celebrate with a dress up date night. We had decided the night before on where to go and what to do. We would go out for coffee and talk while we looked around Bentonville square. Upon finishing our stroll we had also planned to visit a near by museum, Ref had thoughtfully taken pictures throughout the exhibit leading up until the last gallery. A sign had closed off the last gallery for updates on the collection. No big deal I thought, museums do this often to keep the exhibits fresh. Ref had me stop in front of the closed gallery and told me to trust him, that he had a surprise. I did, and he covered my eyes. Then I heard Ref trying to open a closed door, I told him "we are not about to break into an exhibit that's closed we'll get in trouble!!" He got the door open and told me that it was fine and not to worry. While there were a million thoughts flying through my head of how it would play out if we got caught, it was all abruptly stopped by the sound of music. A song he had sent me a few months into dating played, when he knew he wanted to marry me, the song titled "The One." My eyes were uncovered and he was down on one knee. Yes, yes to forever. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Bella Vista!
