We met at our first job, which was at the movie theater! It didn't take long for us to become close friends who often got excited to work together. After many hours of folding napkins, pressing burgers, and filling sauce cups, we were inseparable!
After officially dating for a few months, I went ring shopping for my girlfriend. Skipping the novel worth of details during that adventure, I obtained the ring and began thinking of where she would like to be proposed. As Eszy's birthday was coming up in July and Disney World was a trip she had always wanted to do, finding the perfect spot for the proposal was a relatively easy decision. I understood that she didn't want a million strangers around during one of the most intimate moments of her life, so I researched local gardens on which to perform the proposal. Planning the trip, hiring a photographer, coordinating the event without seeing the location in person, and getting props for the occasion were easy. However, the difficulty began when identifying an opportunity to sneak away to meet with the photographer to discuss specifics without looking suspicious. Luckily, her family attended the trip and distracted her while I snuck away. Of course, everything went according to plan! Getting stuck in traffic for an hour with a rainstorm brewing in the distance on the day you plan to propose to your girlfriend is a justifiable cause for anxiety. However, we were lucky that the traffic cleared, the rain subsided, and the photographer texted me that he was ready. I picked Eszy up and surprised her with a walk in the botanical garden. It didn't take long for Eszy to suspect what was going on. We walked through a path of rose petals; the rest was history.
