Our story began on November 9th, 2011, in San Diego, CA. On that night, DaVon attended a bar where Esmeralda was bartending. DaVon approached the bar and asked Esmeralda for a "Top shelf Margarita" out of all the drinks he could have ordered, he asked for a "Top Shelf Margarita!" At that moment, Esmeralda knew, he was different, in a very good way; She thought to herself, "He must know his Tequila!" :) As she served him his drink, she looked at him and said, "Come Back!" meaning, to please come back and keep ordering from her because she wanted to see him again. As the night progressed, he came back, they had light conversation, and by the end of the night, they exchanged phone numbers. At the time, DaVon, lived in Rialto and Esmeralda lived in San Diego, about 90 miles away from one another. Their first date was on Saturday November 19th, 2011. He drove 90 miles south to Esmeralda's place, picked her up and they had their first date at the Cheesecake Factory. They conversed for hours, in fact, until closing time. From that point on, they shared a special connection and continued their long-distance relationship for several years. As time went on, they supported each other's parenthood, goals, and admiration for one another. Esmeralda's daughters, Brayanna and Camila, and DaVon's daughter, Karrington have grown up together with so much love and support in their loving relationship. Their daughters may not be blood sisters; however, they are love sisters. Both DaVon and Esmeralda, have been parenting their daughters, coequally and wholeheartedly as a family. On Saturday, July 10th, 2021, DaVon proposed to Esmeralda at their favorite winery, Miramonte in Temecula, California. He managed to plan a full top-secret proposal with over 50 friends and family members present to witness this special moment. Esmeralda was stunned and so excited...She said YES!!! Why did they choose to marry on Thursday, November 9th, 2023 you might ask?... They will be saying their "I do's" exactly 12 years later on the same day they met, November 9th, 2011!
