We met in architecture school at the University of Tennessee. It all started at our friend's Halloween party and turned into a movie marathon first date. Multiple homework 'dates' and late studio nights were had and then Covid hit. We spent our graduation in our pajamas and waited out quarantine with our families getting some much-needed rest and relaxation. Several major world events and cooking dates later, we decided to make our dreams of forever official.
It was a beautiful April weekend in Nashville, and on Saturday we decided to take a date to see the botanical gardens at Cheekwood Estates. We spent the day looking at the flowers and soaking up the sunshine and decided to go on a movie date later that evening. Before the movie, we were wondering around and stumbled upon a local winery and decided to kill some time by tasting and having a few glasses of wine. Somehow, we walked out of that winery with a special bottle of 'Cajun' wine with homegrown TN grapes and Old Bay Seasoning (it was surprisingly delicious). Well of course, we needed a nice picnic to enjoy our wine with. So, on Sunday, we decided to have a romantic sunset picnic. Wine was poured and a perfect scenic sun was setting behind some historic cabins, and he got down on one knee and asked Tori to be his wife. It was a beautiful and romantic weekend that neither one will ever forget.
