We’re starting things off with a much-needed break by the water, after a year of obsessing over menus, moodboards, outfits, and flowers. Renan, as always will be hard to get out of the ocean, while Esha will be lazing with a book, and occasionally (and very dramatically) getting smacked by a rogue wave.
Early mornings, strong coffee, and front-row seats to the wild—our camp is pitched right along the migration route. Esha has dreamed of the Serengeti for years, while Renan swears anything before 9 a.m. should be illegal—so the 5 a.m. game drives might test more than our binoculars. Our first trip as a couple was glamping in Karjat, and now, camping under Tanzanian skies for our honeymoon feels like a beautiful full circle.
Spanning over 100 square miles, the Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic crater—unlike anything else in Tanzania. Even after the Serengeti, this place is a must given the sheer density of lions, rhinos, flamingos etc. that roam across the landscape. From crater-floor safaris to quiet moments above it all we couldn't think of a better way to end our dream trip.
