How we met...

It all started when we worked together, but our paths didn’t really cross until months later. We had mutual coworkers, but we never spoke (Jeremy was stuck up I should say)—until Jeremy decided to make the first move and start to say hello (in which I chose not to acknowledge at first, sorry Jerm) and throw paper office balls (LOL). I remember when we finally spoke; I was struck by how tall he was, almost towering over everyone else. Meanwhile, Jeremy was quick to notice how short I was—and how much I could make him laugh. He thought I was so hilarious, and I guess I did too. Any time we crossed paths at work I always thought he was the most stuck-up guy, but boy was I wrong! At first, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But as we began to spend more time together outside of work, something clicked. Our conversations became deeper, more meaningful. He did not just listen to me, he made sure to be present in our conversations and offer his assistance in any way he could. It was like we had known each other forever, and yet every new thing we learned about each other felt like a revelation. Jeremy’s caring nature and genuine kindness made me feel seen in a way I hadn’t before. From getting each other coffee everyday (boy was it pricey!) to sharing our most saddest moments it was like we had a connection that was unlike any other I had experienced. No matter what I was going through Jeremy was right by my side. I could tell him I had the slightest headache and he would rush to my house with pain meds, flowers, and my favorite snacks. What really makes him stand out to me is his underlying care not just for me but for my family. From him remembering their favorite snacks for our movie nights, to mowing the lawn at our house, and doing the tall labor man work, he is everything I could have ever asked for. It wasn’t unusual to find us throwing paper balls across the room at each other, laughing uncontrollably. Those little moments became a way for us to bond, and I realized how much fun it was to just be around him. To our little late night conversations from working a 1 am shift he was always there waiting for me making me laugh. Our bond grew from there, and I’m so glad we took the time to get to know one another. While we both have left the job where we met, I brought with me my most prized possession, Jerm. Now, looking back, it feels like fate brought us together, but I’ll always remember the moment Jeremy chose to say hello and throw a paper ball at me, who would have known it was the beginning of something incredible! I am beyond blessed and grateful to be surrounded by a love so pure and genuine.
