Our FAVORITE Thai restaurant, located just 10–15 minutes from the venue across from Slippery Rock University. When I was dorming on campus, Kyle would come visit me and we’d spend our date nights ordering takeout from here and watching movies together. Still one of our favorite little traditions.
Strip District
One of the best places in Pittsburgh to wander around for a few hours. It has some great coffee shops, places to eat, and shop!
Monongahela Incline
One of the first places Kyle took me when I came to visit Pittsburgh. It’s such an old Pittsburgh classic, and the view of the city never gets old (so special at night too)! P.S. there is another one called the Duquesne Incline but I like this one better.
Gateway Clipper Fleet
A scenic riverboat tour that takes you through Pittsburgh’s three rivers with some really beautiful skyline views along the way. A fun option if you want to relax, sightsee, and see the city from a different perspective.
Pittsburgh Pirates Game
We always make sure to go to a game every season! This is one of the most beautiful baseball stadiums we have ever seen. The vibes are great and the view of the city is even better!
Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium
Honestly, we’ve never really been big zoo people, but for those who are, Pittsburgh’s got one! We did see some super cute giraffes, though.
Kamin Science Center
A perfect rainy-day Pittsburgh adventure filled with exhibits, experiments, and tiny moments of awe! Kyle and I could spend hours in here.
Senator John Heinz History Center
Can't go wrong with a museum dedicated to the city that somehow gave us both Heinz ketchup and Mister Rogers!
Carnegie Museum of Natural History
If your ideal outing includes fossils, paintings, and dramatically high ceilings, this is your spot!
Soergel Orchards
A super cute orchard not too far from our home that features a massive country store, bakery, garden center, and seasonal activities like pick-your-own apples and pumpkin patches.
