The wedding is in Idaho Springs which is a cute Colorado mountain town!  Check out Beau Jo's Pizza or Tommy Knocker Brewery for good eats and drinks pre-wedding and walk around downtown or go for a nearby hike.  

The hotel is in Golden, Colorado which has a GREAT main street with shops, restaurants and bars.  Check out Terry Park at Clear Creek which is more of an easy stroll than a hike, but with all the Colorado nature you could want.
