The modern world of dating apps brought us together. We first met on a May day when Eryn asked Tyler on a date in Blacksburg. The date started at Green's where a long history E&T's sushi dates began. It continued at a Virginia Tech Baseball game sitting on the grass and stone steps, talking and learning as much as they could about each other in the three hours of watching a game neither of them really understood.
On the anniversary of when we first decided we were in a relationship, not just going on dates, we went on a weekend trip to eat good food and drink good wine in Charlottesville. On our way up, we took a pit stop on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Eryn pretended she didn't see the signs indicating we were going in the exact wrong direction and every sign said we were going back to Roanoke. Tyler insisted we were going the right way and were in the right place as we pulled up to a gravel pull off with only space for one vehicle. When we got up to the overlook and sat down on a rock, we reflected on our year together. After sharing his favorite parts of the year, Tyler got down on one knee. Eryn screamed, shouted "YES," and we were engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
