Once upon a time, in a far-off LAnd where dreams comes true, two hearts began separate journeys that would ultimately lead to uniting. Eryn Jones, radiant and resolute, joined the illustrious sisterhood of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. At the same time, Lyonnel Eugene, thoughtful and bold, became a proud brother of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. Eryn and Lyonnel didn’t know it yet, but their souls had started to be drawn to one another. They were at the same place, at the same time, on multiple occasions but somehow had never met. A series of seemingly random coincidences were set up by fate to join the two as one. The fated couple have birthdays just a day apart, hers March 9th and his the 10th. On March 9, 2020, Eryn was out celebrating her birthday with friends. A few steps away, Lyonnel was preparing to celebrate his birthday as well. Both looked up at the glittering sky and at the midnight that they shared, they locked eyes. They felt drawn to one another in a way that can only be explained as fate. At that moment, the Universe decided it was finally time for their worlds to collide. Nervous smiles, shy glances, and hearts quietly racing. Lyonnel, overcome by the moment, stepped away to collect himself. When he returned, Eryn had vanished like a dream. The moment was fleeting. If Lyonnel’s heart wasn’t still racing, he would have thought he dreamed of the beautiful woman across the room. He began to worry if he’d ever see her again. Fate had no intention of keeping them apart. Eryn and Lyonnel found each other again, this time digitally. Introductions were made along with promises for a proper first date. However, before that moment could arrive, the world was trapped in a standstill—a global pandemic set in, and distance grew between them once again. But true love has a way of making the fantastical happen. Those seemingly random coincidences led them to come together once again. And now, they would never be apart. Their love blossomed deeply, wholly and unmistakenly. For the first time in their lives, they had found the one who made their heart soar. Together they grew not only in love, but in life. They bonded quickly and they created a world of their own. Filled with love, light and laughter. Hand-in-hand, they did life together - graduations, internships, careers. Then, they created life together. Their greatest adventure, Ezra Eugene was welcomed to the world on July 4, 2022. He fit perfectly in the little world they created. Now, surrounded by family and friends, Eryn and Lyonnel are writing the next chapter of their story: a wedding, a celebration, and a promise to keep choosing each other for a lifetime to come. And just like that, two souls who almost missed each other, were brought together by fate. And on June 7, 2026 they will begin the rest of their lives together, forever and always.
