FAQs

Question

What is the ~vibe~ of the celebration?

Answer

Expect a casual but still meaningful gathering to hang out with the newlyweds! The celebration will be outdoors (fingers crossed for good weather!) and although there won't be a formal ceremony, there will be food, music, and yard games. You can even take a swim in the pool or lake, so bring your swimsuit if that interests you. It's the perfect way to spend Labor Day weekend at Smith Mountain Lake!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Casual! Think sundresses, shorts, or anything you'd be comfortable wearing to an outdoor gathering or cookout. Swimsuits are also encouraged but not required, and we will have a private space for changing in and out of swimsuits.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Yes! We would love to see all of the little ones. If you plan on bringing your children, please include them in your RSVP count. The celebration is by the lake and there is a pool, so please bring lifevests for your children and we encourage them to be worn at all times.

Question

Where do I park for the celebration?

Answer

There is limited parking at the house for the celebration, however there will be signs directing you to park in a grass field nearby so keep an eye out for those.
