FAQs

Of course you will have many more questions. Feel free to discuss with Erwin. The easiest way to reach him is via Facebook Messenger.
Question

Is this real?

Answer

Yes - sorry we haven't caught up sooner.

Question

How much should I budget for this trip (if coming from New Zealand)?

Answer

At minimum per person I think you need approximately $4,000. This is made up of $3,000 for flights (per person) plus $1,000 for accommodation, food, transport and anything else you may need to cover while you are are away.

Question

How much time do I need?

Answer

At minimum, the wedding event itself is two days. The bare (non-advisable) minimum is 6 days. However I would recommend budget 8 days to attend the wedding and travel comfortably.

Question

What if I cannot afford to attend?

Answer

We understand completely. This wedding is a bit short notice. I expect many of you will not be able to attend. If some financial assistance would help push you over the line, please discuss with Erwin and we can figure out what is possible.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

July temperatures can range from 15 degrees to 30 degrees. It can also rain. Watch the weather forecast a week before you leave and check the Gdansk forecast. This can help you plan what to wear. The Nuptial Mass is a formal event. Men should come dressed in a suit and tie. Women should wear a cocktail dress (no mini, only midi or maxi). If your dress has an open back or arms, you should bring a scarf to cover yourself. You will have a chance to change for the reception after the Nuptial Mass. Men should continue to wear suits, and women should wear cocktail dresses (no limit on length!). For all events, women cannot wear white, black, and red. Men have no colour restrictions.

Question

If you are a women, do you want your hair and make up done in Gdansk before the wedding?

Answer

Let us know ASAP and Olinka can book an appointment for you.
