Max and I first connected on Instagram in May 2019 when he followed me. We didn’t speak until June 27th, which happened to be my birthday. He sent me a birthday wish, and that was the start of our conversations. At the time, I wasn’t in a good place mentally, so even though we chatted occasionally, I kept turning down his invitations to go on a date, and to be honest I didn’t think he was my type. Finally, on August 18th 2019, I agreed to go out with him, more out of boredom than anything else. Even then, I wasn’t convinced it would go anywhere, and I almost canceled. My cousin encouraged me to go, so I reluctantly got ready and decided to see it through. When I arrived at the location and saw him walking towards me, everything changed. In that moment, I knew I had found my man, It was love at first sight. We started dating right then and there, and five years later, I’m still head over heels in love with him, just like the day we met.
