Our Story

Ethan and I started dating in high school at the beginning of 2013. That spring I graduated and moved off to college at Texas A&M University-Commerce. The next year he started school at Texas Christian University and joined the Army ROTC program there. Interestingly enough, we both decided to pursue a career in nursing. For the past few years we have been drowning in what seems like the never ending trials of nursing school, but having each other through it has been such a blessing. We’ve also shared wonderful memories including family vacations, TCU football games, lake days, and of course family basketball tournaments! On one of the family vacations to Gruene TX, we stopped to take some pictures outside of the Gristmill. Before I could get camera ready, Ethan pulled a ring box out of his boot and was down on one knee. He said a bunch of sweet things that I instantly forgot due to how nervous I was and I of course said yes! We are so excited about our future together and can’t wait to see where the Lord takes us. As many of you know, Ethan will most likely be going active duty in the Army just a few months after the wedding. That means we will be moving to a base somewhere in the United States or Germany and we won’t know the exact location until right before it’s time to move! The planner in me is going crazy but we are so excited for the next chapter of our lives and are looking forward to the memories and opportunities it may bring. Most of all, we are so incredibly thankful! Thankful for the love that we share, our amazing families, lasting friendships, and our God who so clearly made us for each other.
