One day, while scrolling on Facebook, Jamiee noticed her cousin had shared Erista's page and poetry. Intrigued by the words, Jamiee reached out, sparking a conversation that would shape the course of their lives. Erista orchestrated a week-long journey through Merced, Vegas, and Arizona to celebrate Jamiee's 30th birthday. Little did Jamiee know, Erista had been telling friends and family of her real intentions for the trip; culminating in a proposal that would forever define the next chapter of their lives together. On the final leg of their journey, Erista surprised Jamiee with a detour to Phoenix, Arizona with a promise of their favorite food - Bao Bun Tacos. As the wheels turned and the road stretched ahead, Erista asked Jamiee deep and meaningful questions about their relationship. Suspicious of the questions, Jamiee continued answering questions since, of course, deep conversations are exciting to a therapist (marry a therapist at your own risk haha). Upon arriving at the restaurant, Erista guided Jamiee to a quiet bench and asked Jamiee to take a seat and close her eyes. Erista shared a carefully crafted poem that echoed the journey of their love. Each word painted a picture of shared laughter, quiet moments, and the promise of a future together. As Erista concluded the poem, the air buzzed with the question that lingered, "Will you marry me?"
