Can I Bring a “Plus One”?

Established girlfriends or boyfriends of six months or more of active dating are welcome and should be accounted for on the RSVP list. If they are not, please contact the bride or groom to make an adjustment.

Are Children Welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, it is strongly preferable that children not attend, and adults have a weekend getaway. That being said, the bride and groom would much rather have our friends and family attend with their children when other accommodations cannot be arranged. Please contact the bride or groom to let them know if your little one will need to attend so that they will be counted in the guest list. There will be a space provided within the venue during the ceremony for children six and under, and any other children who are struggling. There are windows, and sound will be provided to be able to watch the ceremony. Children will need to be attended to by their guardians at all times. Any damage done to the venue by a child will be covered by the parents via the bride and groom. The bridal suite will be available during the ceremony and/or reception for breast-feeding mothers. Books will be provided for children to look at during the ceremony as the twenty-minute ceremony will be unplugged. Please return the book to the basket when finished. Children will not be able to get a new book during the ceremony.

What is the Attire?

Answer

Wedding attire is formal attire/ Black-tie optional. We ask that men wear dark suits and dress shoes and women wear tea-length, knee-length, or midi dresses or formal evening pants in the colors of their choice. Serre Vineyards is in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. The wedding is in the beginning of October. It may be chilly. The wedding colors are olive green, rust, and ivory/pearl. What Type of Ceremony can I Expect?

Answer

The ceremony will be a traditional Protestant Christian ceremony. Please treat the ceremony like you would be attending church on Sunday. The bride and groom have hired a videographer and photographer to capture the special moment so that guests can sit and enjoy the beauty around them and be present. In other words, it will be an unplugged ceremony.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00PM. Please arrive no later than 3:45PM to allow time to park, enter the venue & find a seat. Due to the pathway layout, all walkways leading to the ceremony will be closed at 3:55PM for the ceremony. Late entries will have to watch from inside the venue.

Does the venue have parking?

Answer

Yes! There is complementary parking at the venue. With that being said, there is limited parking close to the venue and you may have to park on the side of the road and then walk to the venue.
