Park Rapids, located about 20 minutes from Walker, offers additional hotel options and is a great alternative if accommodations in Walker fill up. Bemidji, about 45 minutes away, has a wider selection of national hotel chains and may be a good option for those flying into the Bemidji airport.

Airport Options
Bemidji Regional Airport (BJI) Bemidji is the closest airport to Walker, located about 45–60 minutes away. It’s a small regional airport with limited flights, typically connecting through Minneapolis, but offers the easiest and quickest drive to the venue. Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport (BRD) Brainerd is about an hour from Walker and offers a few more flight options than Bemidji. It’s a great middle-ground choice if you’re looking for a balance between convenience and availability. Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) Minneapolis is the largest and most convenient airport for most guests, offering the best flight options and pricing. It is approximately a 3 to 3.5 hour scenic drive to Walker and is the most common choice for travelers.
Travel Note
Getting Around
Because Walker is a small, rural lake town, we strongly recommend renting a car. This will make it easy to get to and from the airport, your accommodations, and any weekend activities. Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are very limited in the area (besides from the airport), and shuttle options are minimal unless arranged in advance. Most accommodations are within a short 5–15 minute drive of the venue, and parking throughout Walker is easy and free. Having a car will give you the flexibility to explore the area and fully enjoy the weekend.
