We're two California natives, but we had to move thousands of miles at entirely separate times of our lives for our paths to finally cross! *** In 2014, Andrew and his family moved from Southern California to Upstate South Carolina. A few years later, Andrew started working at Openroad Coffee Roastery, owned by Stan Yoder, friend of the Tokars... cousins of Erinn's. Erinn started visiting relatives in the area around the same time Andrew moved, unbeknownst to either of them. Years later, Erinn graduated college and started grad school at NYU, with plans to move to Upstate South Carolina after school out of love for the local atmosphere. And finally, on one of Erinn's frequent coffee stops at Openroad, Andrew and Erinn finally crossed paths. First introduced to a former friend of Andrew's, Erinn took no romantic interest until she finally couldn't deny that they were created for each other. Andrew and Erinn started a long-distance relationship while Erinn lived in New York City for her final year of grad school. The torture was ended early by God's providencial timing of.... Covid! Erinn was on a planned Spring Break visit when Covid hit, and ended up "moving in" to the Dimonds' guest room for four months before getting her own place in Spartanburg. *** Our story is unconventional, but we can see evidence of God in every step.
