On a nice winter April Fools we headed to Ogden Nordic, one of our favorite nordic ski trail systems in the greater Salt Lake Valley area, for a ski with our friend. No one but Kyle knew of his plans until he texted our friend Julie on our way to pick her up, requesting her photography services. With the crazy winter we had in Utah in 2023, including a recent storm just a couple days before, the groomer hadn't been able to groom all the trails yet. This included Erin's favorite trail with her favorite spot to stop for a drink, a snack and to take in the view...just where Kyle thought would be a perfect spot. Unfortunately as we skied past the turn for the trail it was covered in a few feet of un-groomed snow, so Kyle had to figure out plan B. As we got to another spot on the trail Kyle requested a pause for a drink. Julie had her phone out "taking photos of the view" and asked if we wanted a photo of us as Erin was tossing back a package of fruit snacks. As she took a photo Kyle dropped to one knee, still on skis, and asked if Erin would like to marry him. The answer was obviously yes!

We realize we are asking many of our guests to travel to Salt Lake City and in advance we GREATLY appreciate everyone who comes to celebrate with us! If the travel isn't feasible for you, we understand and are still so grateful that you're a part of our lives.
