With COVID making in person gatherings unsafe and the pandemic still going on strong, there is a lot of uncertainty around planning an event. We have had many discussions after getting engaged about what to do. Two factors kept coming up in those discussions. One is that with the way things are going, we are uncertain that an in person gathering will be able to happen next year and we don't want to have to wait two years to get married. However, the other factor is that it is still very important to us that we celebrate with everyone. We feel strongly about sharing this moment with everyone that is important to us. That is how the plan of two weddings came about. Our current plan is to have a tiny, immediate family only wedding ceremony this year. This is the ceremony that, due to popular demand, will be broadcast on zoom so that those who want to witness the ceremony virtually can. Don't like zoom or already have plans for Halloween? No problem! We are simultaneously planning an in person vow renewal ceremony and reception for next year to celebrate the way that we want to with everyone! This is event is still being planned so stay tuned for details.
Who knew someone so perfect was so close by. Our dads are friends from work and arranged a family outing at a guitar festival. We met at the festival and had a great time. It was a lovely sunny day listening to guitars. Betsy volunteered that Erin could give Tyler a ride home from the festival as she had driven herself and Tyler didn't want to stay for the late night concert. We talked the whole way back to Seattle and exchanged numbers at the end of the ride. The rest is history.
