As most of you probably know, Sean is a teacher and I am a nurse. In October 2024 one of my best friends, Maddy, who is also a nurse, and her husband, Matthew, who teaches with Sean, invited us to join them for The Brew in the Lou event. I was quickly on board. Sean agreed too, but perhaps only after he was told it was not a double date. It wasn’t necessarily supposed to be that way, but we really enjoyed hanging out that day and Sean was all about us hanging out again. After asking Matthew when we could all hang out again, we planned a night out for Mexican and margaritas and honestly the rest is history! We carpooled to dinner that night and after we got back to Maddy and Matthew’s house, Sean and I chatted in the driveway for what seemed like forever. Now, I could not wait to hang out again and I guess my persistence paid off! After we met, I knew I was really into him and after we went on the first official date, just the two of us, I knew he was a keeper! After camping and road trips together, fun around STL and time spent together, the two of us and his little gal Avery, I knew I was hooked! We fast forward to Brew in the Lou the very next year and Sean decided it was time to pop the question. I was a little suspicious he had something up his sleeve, and honestly, laughed at first when he got down on his knee, saying to him “I knew this was about to happen”! But then as quickly as I could, I gave him the “yes” he was hoping to hear! Now, here we are preparing to celebrate the start of our forever together and we could not be more excited for what the future holds! We are looking forward to celebrating with you all in December!
