FAQs

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP for the wedding by January 31, 2026.

Question

Are kids welcome at the wedding?

Answer

We love your kids, but due to keeping the wedding intimate, we're keeping our celebration adults only. We appreciate your understanding and hope you'll enjoy a parents' night out. Additionally, there should be childcare options in the area.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Plan for it to be hot, we're talking between 80-85°F or 27-30°C.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Please adhere to cocktail attire. For men, a suit (tie not required, although bolo ties are always a fun addition!) and for ladies, a summer cocktail dress, dressy jumpsuit, or dressy separates. Keep in mind the hot temperatures (maybe opt for a linen suit if you can) and that you will need to walk on grass (i.e. stilettos are probably a very bad idea). Boots and cowboy/cowgirl hats are of course welcome. It's Texas after all, y'all!

Question

What is this dance I need to learn?

Answer

We think it would be really fun if everyone learned and joined in on a country line dance during the reception. https://youtu.be/4jW9PHPIFWo?si=S1E7Z9q7e3NXueXu Cant wait to see you all doing it!

Question

If I'm coming from out of town should I hire a car?

Answer

Depends. Texas has very limited public transportation, but does have plenty of Uber/Lyft's, so if you plan on venturing further out than just Fort Worth or Dallas, we would suggest hiring a rental car.

Question

How long should I/we stay in Texas?

Answer

Ideally 7-10 days. Our recommendation would be to fly into Austin on Saturday, 25 April. You can also fly into DFW and rent a car; the drive is 3 hours but it's an insanely easy drive, it's literally just one highway. I would recommend staying in Austin 4-5 nights; there is soooo much to do there! Great food, live music, and all the outdoor and water activities you could ever want. Shoot us a message if you want recommendations. Then come up to Fort Worth on the Wednesday (29th) or Thursday (30th). We'll be planning some pre-wedding day group activities to show out of town guests around, if they want. TBD but we are thinking pontoon boat on the lake, wineries, and a night at the rodeo. You could of course do all of this in the reverse order and head to Austin for a few days after the wedding.

Question

I have more questions but I don't want to bother the bride and groom, what should I do?

Answer

We're easy breezy lemon squeezy, just reach out to us! Especially if you have questions on your prospective itinerary, where to stay, what other cities to visit, give us a shout, we're excited to help.
