FAQs

Question

Will there be any Ukrainian traditions at your wedding?

Answer

Yes! There will be several Ukrainian traditions, elements, and food for you to enjoy throughout the day. During the reception, we will be doing a dance called the Kolomeyka, a traditional wedding dance performed at all Ukrainian weddings. We would love for all of our guests to join in on the fun. See the link below for an example of what to expect. Ukrainian style dances and choreographed routines like in the video are not necessary; any move will do! Think giant dance circle to really upbeat music. Come ready to show off your favorite dance moves and dance the night away with Erin & Rostyk! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5wTP1JNguw&t=177s

Question

Where do you recommend we book our hotel?

Answer

We recommend you book your hotel in the Middletown area, as this is where we will be ending the night! We have group rates set up at two local hotels. See the travel tab for booking links and other hotel options.

Question

Answer

The ceremony and dinner will be held indoors. Cocktails and dancing will be outdoors, weather permitting.

Answer

We will have vegetarian, gluten free, nut-free, and dairy-free options available. Please notify us of any restrictions when you RSVP and we will work with the caterer to accommodate your needs.

Question

What is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

We appreciate your response as soon as possbible, however, please RSVP in the tab on our website no later than September 1st, 2026.

Question

Will there be parking available?

Answer

There is limited parking available at the church. Please carpool with other guests if possible. Parking along the sides of the driveway is permitted, however do not park in a fire lane and allow adequate space for the school bus to pass through. The adjacent daycare will be in session during the ceremony, so please be cautious of children and their families as you enter and exit. There will be ample parking available at the reception venue. If you don’t see any spots in the first lot, continue driving down the side of the property where you will find additional parking. There will be attendants to help guide you!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love to have you dress up with us! We are requesting formal attire; suits and ties for the guys, and midi to floor length dresses or pant suits for the ladies.

Question

Are plus-ones invited?

Answer

There is limited space available at the venues, so unfortunately we can only accommodate the guests listed on your invitation.

Question

What do you recommend we do in the time between the ceremony and cocktail hour?

Answer

We invite you to enjoy refreshments and light bites at the church immediately following the ceremony. You are welcome stay at the church in the fellowhip hall until it is time to depart for cocktail hour but please do not enter the daycare or playground areas during this time as the daycare will be open and these spaces will be in use. We recommend heading to Wadsworth Mansion around 4:00-4:15 to arrive for 5:00 cocktail hour. If you arrive at the mansion early, you may explore the grounds, which were originally designed by the Olmstead Brothers. Frederick Law Olmstead, father of the brothers, was the landscape architect of Central Park in NYC, among other notable gardens of the 19th century. The drive from the church to the mansion is very scenic. We recommend taking Route 66 over the Arrigoni Bridge into Middletown. Along this route you will pass Hebron's Eagle Rock (look on the left, you can't miss it!), drive over the Arrigoni Bridge (the longest span of any bridge in CT), and drive through the Wesleyan University campus (Lin-Manuel Miranda '02 is a notable alum).
