At Last

Erin and Rob first got to know each other through Camp Sloper in Southington in the summer of 2014. Erin was a "Sloperian" counselor - the counselor of the year I might add - taking care of the little guys. Rob was the "King of the Lifeguards". Their differing responsibilities gave them time to hit it off; when signing kids down into the waterfront, Erin took care of the important things like making sure they were clothed, prepped, and emotionally stable, while Rob got to play the role of camp's fun uncle since he didn't actually have to manage the children all day. During these in-between times, Erin and Rob came to admire each other's sense of humor and emotional competence working with children - we're both teachers after all - and began to grow close. Flash-forward to December 2018, and Erin and Rob are engaged...unconventionally. As stubborn as you surely know they both are, they strive to go with the flow as a couple. This personal stubbornness but flexibility as a couple led them down an interesting path when they both confessed that they wanted to propose to each other. What do you do? Well, in this instance, the path of least resistance (and greatest happiness!) led them to patent the "Co-prosal", in which they both got each other a ring, hightailed it up to Mont Tremblant for a romantic ski village getaway in Canada, and popped the question...twice. It was incredible, took all the pressure off the big question, and kept everyone happy. Can't recommend it enough! Now that you're up to speed, we hope you can understand why they'd want to "Linger a Little Longer" (a favorite camp song for the uninitiated) and are overjoyed to finally share their wedding with you, having battled through a Covid postponement. C'est la vie!
