It all began in 2017 with a simple hello. Reid and I first crossed paths while working at Shawâs in Berlin, Vermont. He was the evening grocery manager, and I was a cashier working the night shifts. Every day, like clockwork, weâd arrive at work around the same time, exchange a smile, and greet each other before heading off to our duties. At first, we were just coworkersâpassing each other in the aisles, sharing quick conversations about the little things: how the shift was going, a laugh about the latest work drama, or a mutual eye roll at the evening rush. But somewhere between those shared moments and late-night messages, a spark quietly began to grow. What started as casual chats soon turned into something deeper. We found ourselves looking forward to our shifts not just because of the work, but because we knew weâd see each other. Our conversations moved beyond work, into life, dreams, music, and everything in between. It didnât take long before we both realized this was something special. From work friends to something so much moreâwe fell in love in the most unexpected, beautiful way. Since then, we've been each otherâs best friend, partner, and biggest supporter. Life has taken us through highs and lows, but through it all, weâve never stopped choosing each other. Looking back, itâs funny to think that a grocery store was the beginning of forever for us. And now, here we are, years later, surrounded by love, ready to begin the next chapter of our storyâtogether.
Hi everyone! Iâm Hankâtheir dog, their shadow, their emotional support floof. Some say Iâm just a dog, but letâs be honestâIâve been a key player in this love story since day one. Iâve been there through it all: long shifts, lazy Sundays, late-night snacks, and all the smoochy stuff they think I donât notice (I do). I always knew these two were meant to be. I could smell it. Literally. Now theyâre getting married, and I couldnât be more excited (or confused, honestlyâbut I know itâs a big deal because everyoneâs crying and there's cake). Iâll be there with my best bow tie on, doing important wedding things like: Supervising hugs, Providing stress relief via ear flops, Catching rogue cheese cubes, Offering the occasional happy bark! I may not be giving a speech (no opposable thumbs), but trust meâI love them with all my furry little heart. And I know this day is going to be full of love, laughter, and maybe a treat or two for me under the table. Canât wait to see you all there! Bring pets. And snacks. Mostly snacks. Paws and kisses, Hank đ¶đ
