Future Mr.& Mrs. Stoddard

Owen and I met at the mall while back to school shopping with our parents, I was going into my Freshman year of high school and Owen was going into his Junior year of high school. But when we met at the mall it was unofficial, because we didn't know each other but our parents did and while shopping we all bumped into each other. So after the little reunion our parents had, my mom and I went on our way, and she made a comment about Owen looking at me while our parents were talking, and I replied, “Ya, he better know I got a boyfriend” (I literally cringe, thinking about that comment I made). But as time went by Owen found me on social media and I followed him back and I walked swiftly (I wouldn’t say I ran) to my mom and told her if she remembered that guy from the mall, I believe she said she remembered. But after I added and followed Owen back on Instagram and Snapchat, we started a streak (IYKYK) and we just had small talk here and there, because I was still in a relationship. But fast forward to January 1, 2018, Owen told me he wanted to start the year off with someone special and I thought that was the sweetest thing that any guy had ever said to me. We went on our first date to Yard House on January 13, 2018 and we were both nervous as heck!!! We took the long way to the restaurant and we were stuck in traffic for like an hour listening to SZA and SWV. Not to mention when Owen came to pick me up, he went to the wrong house. When we arrived at the restaurant we barely ate and I had a salad and took like two bites. After our first date we went on a couple of more dates and I remember not wanting them to end. After a few dates Owen asked me to prom... over FaceTime it was cute, it was the thought that counted for sure lol. Between the time he asked me to prom and going to prom. He would ask me to be exclusive and I wasn't quite ready yet but I knew I would be. Anyways, he tried to get away but I made sure that he didn't get too far. We became closer leading up to prom that was April 14, 2018, I should've known we were meant to be when we passed out after prom due to us being so exhausted lol. Then finally April 15, 2018, Owen asked me to be his girlfriend at this point everything felt right and I of course said yes. And now 6 years later here we are getting married and WE CANNOT WAIT!!!
